At an altitude of 625 meters above sea level, you will be more than awe inspired by the views seen from atop Mount Khandala. Although as compared to several other Indian Hill Stations, the altitude of the Khandala Hill Station is relatively low, but none the less the views are worth the trip to Kahndala. Near by you can even see The Lonavala Hill Station which is located on the other side of the deep valley. While Lonavala Hill Station is at a higher altitude, regardless of which one you choose to visit, you will also wish to have visited the other side of the vale.

Khandala Hill Station

The Khandala Hill Station is nearby to Mumbai and for that reason it is often filled with tourists who are wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of the major city. Although the falls may be flowing when you visit the Khandala Hill Station, most of the times it is the monsoons that feed the falls and therefore is best to visit during or right after the monsoon season ends.
