Weather in Ranakpur is good. Rajasthan is close to the desert and this state has the largest desert in India known as the Thar Desert. Hence, dry climate is a natural occurrence. Tropical climate would be the exact term to describe this type of climatic conditions. The summers are extremely hot with temperatures reaching up to 42 degrees Celsius. The night temperatures can go down to as low as 22 degrees. It is due the relative heating and cooling effects during daytime and nighttime. Anytime between September and March would be the ideal time to visit this place. Rainfall is very rare in this part of the world. The only reason is that the desert type dry climatic regions do not build up enough moisture to produce rainfall. Hence, tourists in Ranakpur would have a great time during the monsoon and winter months. The temperature remains generally pleasant during this period as compared to the scorching summers of the desert.
